See you next time, January.

And just like that, we are flipping the calendar to a new month and inching a bit closer to spring. I look forward to better weather but wish the clock wouldn't tick away so quickly.

We have been baking from scratch. Ella continues to enjoy helping me make messes in the kitchen.

I love looking in on these two buddies playing together.

We had a long-overdue night with our friends on Friday. It was loud, filled with laughter and a snowball fight.
We helped Niyah celebrate her birthday on Saturday, along with the rest of Ella's buds from school.

On Sunday, we hit the Museum for a free concert by Vicky Chow. We got there early to score front row seats. While Larry held our seats, Ella and I escaped to the Family Center for some art before the performance.
 Vicky was amazing and gracious.
Roz and Katie joined us. After the performance, the girls got to meet Vicky and she signed each of their programs with some encouraging words :)

This week has been much of the normal routine: eat, school, homework, eat, piano practice, bath time and trying like crazy to avoid the stomach flu traveling everywhere. (Fingers crossed...)

Our next week is packed with Chinese New Year celebrations with our FCC crew and at school, as I take on the first grade for an afternoon of teaching! So exciting!
